Over 125 years ago, the seeds of our vision were planted when a missionary pioneer made the trek to the remote Shan State of Burma to help bring transformation to one of the world’s most remote regions. Four generations, countless hours of service, and hundreds of rescued children later, we’re still hard at work in some of the darkest areas of the world.
One of the many things we’ve learned in over a century of participating in this great work is that for us to continue serving children around the globe we need to clearly communicate vision so that you can run with us. Exciting things are in development. In the last 12 months, we have been working diligently to develop a fresh and new vision to help you stay connected with us as we carry out this mission.
There’s much more to come, but we want to share with you right now about the upcoming launch of IN:FIRE.
IN:FIRE, short for Inheritance Fire, will be the single communications place for all our PROJECT AK-47 friends. With this new brand, we will incorporate a more real and consolidated view of what we have matured into over 125 years of service.
IN:FIRE will remain the same justice-focused 501(c)3 nonprofit fueled by the mission to bring hope to vulnerable children within violent and high-conflict communities. It will also reflect the our mandate to work to restore perpetrators of injustice through through our call to love our enemies. True to our core mission, IN:FIRE shares impact of capacitating both young and old leaders to serve the next generation in breaking cycles of violence and subjugation.
Through this consolidated and fresh vision, we’ll be connecting advocates for justice like you with the stories and needs of kids and their communities around the world.
We’re excited about the developments in store, and we’d love to invite you to join us in anticipating the launch of IN:FIRE this October.
We look forward to sharing the details of this new entity in the days and weeks ahead. Please be checking your emails as we continue to share with you specifically what you can expect of IN:FIRE.
